University and Professional Affiliations

Independence Charter Academy is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and operates under the Helendale School District. This accreditation is earned through a rigorous assessment of our school, curriculum, and goals to establish a positive learning environment for every student. To maintain this level of accreditation, ICA participates in on-going evaluations to ensure the highest quality education for our students.

Looking Ahead Program

We are proud to work closely with the Actors Fund program “Looking Ahead”. The “Looking Ahead” program is a division of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) for K-12 students that helps professional young performers and their families thrive amid the unique challenges of working in the entertainment industry.

We also have a concurrent enrollment program available through Victor Valley College that allows students to earn college credits while enrolled at Independence Charter Academy. This program is free and allows students who are interested in pursuing a college degree after graduation to get a jump start on their future college coursework at a major discount!

NCAA

Students who are interested in playing sports at a Division I or Division II university after graduation must complete certain educational requirements in high school. Independence Charter Academy works with the NCAA to ensure that our curriculum fulfills the requirements set forth by their organization for student athletes.
