The first part of the 2022-2023 year has gone by quickly, and it has been an exciting time. Parents have attended with their children’s teachers during parent-teacher conferences at the end of October. We are thankful for the many things as we reflect. Please let us share just a few them with you:
We are thankful for our students who come to ICA every day ready to learn. They provide us all a daily reminder of why we are here and what is essential.
We are thankful for the support of the parents.
We are also thankful that our parents have kept the trust and confidence in us.
We are thankful for Mr. Maldonado, Mrs. Lagergren, Mrs. Saifi, Mr. Kast. Ms. Jennings-Bass, Ms. Sepulveda, Mrs. Gjerde, Mr. Crist, Mrs. Ratajesak, Mrs. Woolley, and Mr. Strey who care about student success and have the best interests of our students in essence. We see dedicated and hard-working individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. They do make a difference, and our students benefit from those efforts.
I would like to wish all of you and your families a healthy, relaxing and Happy Thanksgiving!

We have completed the first quarter which marks the ½ way point between the beginning of school and the end of the first semester. If you are in 7th – 12th grade the grade you are awarded at the end of the first semester will be placed on your permanent transcript. This important document will follow you your entire life!
It is important to do your best not only for graduation credits but for future endeavors as well.
If you go on to further education, like community college or a university, you will need to share your transcript. If you opt for a trade school, you will need to produce your HS transcript. If you join the military, you will need to show your high school transcript. If you apply for a job most times you will need to deliver your high school transcript.
As you can see this is a VERY important document; make it reflect your best effort!
If you have questions or concerns, simply contact me at bcrist@helendalesd.com and I will be more than happy to assist you.
